LaFitte

In the final game Effete LaFoot resides at the top of Blood Island. Here he’s described as LaFitte, albeit without the capitalisation. The casting document shows that he was known as ‘LaFoot’ by May 1996.

According to a fan wiki he’s described as Jean LaFoot in the official strategy guide, which would be an obvious reference to Cap’n Crunch’s adversary if we’re kind and imagine the guide writers didn’t just make it up. It wouldn’t be too surprising given Monkey1 features cereal resembling Cap’n Crunch.

Guybrush’s step distance

Guybrush’s steps cover more distance when he’s further away from the camera. Only Guybrush himself uses this faster step distance, whereas numerous other things that move (see Misc) use Guybrush’s regular step distance.
